Grandparents Day 2016
We celebrated mass on Grandparent's Day on February 2nd. Fr. Sexton said mass in the hall and we had a huge gathering of parents and grandparents with us to share stories and talk to us. Marion Lynch, Marie Concannon, Mrs. Fionnuala Garvey and Mr & Mrs Michael Whyte visited our classroom. Emma's granny was a big hit with everyone whe she showed us how to make a fascinator. I even got to wear it.

Joe's granny Marie brought in some lovely spring flowers. Thank you to everyone who called in. Here are some photos.

Melanie came to our class to talk to us about the food chain. She played games with us which helped us to learn about the food chain. She also told us some old stories about the old customs and traditions at Halloween. She dressed as a witch and pretended that she was our teacher for the day! We really enjoyed it.
